I love to bake. I don't get to do it often, mainly because I know if I do, I will eat all the results! When I cave in, these are my favorite cookies to make.
Snickerdoodles
1C. Butter
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 C. Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
2 eggs
2 T. Cinnamon
2 3/4 C. Flour
1/4 C. Sugar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine butter, 1 1/2 C. sugar and eggs in a bowl. Cream together. In another bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Take small amount of dough and role in to balls. In another small bowl, mix the cinnamon and remaining sugar. Roll the balls in the mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for about 10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
